Before the family business Bvlgari entered the perfume world, it was famous for its watches and jewelry. The Bvlgaris made their living as goldsmiths in Greece and moved to Rome around 1880 to open a jewelry store there. Bvlgari distinguished itself from other jewels by the frequent use of convex cut colored gemstones, the cabochot. Bvlgari perfumes was founded in 1992 in Neuchatel, Switzerland. The Bvlgari perfumes are striking and extravagant. The equally luxurious perfumes were developed with the same eye for quality and detail as with Bvlgari jewelry. In a mix of modern and classic, the bottles are small pieces of art, contemporary jewelery.
