The French Jeanne-Marie Lanvin opened her first boutique in 1889 where she sold her collections of hats. In 1896 she presented her first collection of children's clothing inspired by her daughter Marie-Blanche. In 1909 came her first collection of women's clothing. From that moment on she became known in the fashion field. In 1924 Lanvin also started scents and launched its first perfume, My Sin, which was presented in 1925. From that moment on the brand expanded into interior decoration as well as men's clothing and men's perfume.
