Issey Miyake founded her company in 1971. In the same year, her collection was launched in New York and Tokyo. Her second collection came out 2 years later, making her famous as a designer. Her motto was to combine comfort with the new techniques, which gave her the reputation as a modern and unique designer. In 1992 her first fragrance, L'Eau D'Issey, was launched, a perfume inspired by water. There is now a wide variety of perfumes from Issey Miyake.
