Marcel Rochas la Maison was known as the youth designer for his preference for sportswear and travel and movies. He was so famous that in the 1930s he appeared twice on the front page of the well-known magazine Vogue. Before World War II, Rochas entered the world of perfume, only when the war started he had to get his products off the market. In 1949 he came back on the market and together with the perfumer Edmond Roudnitska he launched "Rochas Femme", inspired by his wife Hélène.
