Thierry Hermès started his workshop of forged armor for the transport industry in 1828 in the Grands Boulevards district of Paris. In 1880 his son Charles-Emile inherited the factory and expanded his business with riding saddles. Years later, his two children Adolphe and Émile-Maurice took over the company and they received the permit to fasten zippers and then also began to make many pieces of leather. In 1935, they presented one of their most famous articles, the Hermès carré scarves made of Chinese silk. Years later in 1950, the carriage with the horse logotype came and he started selling his items with the classic orange packaging, which we know today as his perfume Concentré D'Orange Verte.
